The 2010 Vocal Jazz Festival was a one day event at the Salvation Army Church in Burnaby on Tuesday, March 2nd. We will be returning to Capilano University in North Vancouver for 2011, the date TBA.
Our Festival focuses on developing the talents of our young musicians and singers. Each ensemble has a 20 minute warm-up, 20 minute performance and 40 minute workshop with our outstanding team of adjudicators.
The lunchtime concert in 2010 featured CAPITAL JAZZ. Capital Jazz vocal ensemble is directed by Rejean Marois and is one of the premiere ensembles in the Capilano University Jazz Studies program. It is comprised of vocal and rhythm section students enrolled in the program that are required to audition for the group.
Registration Cost: $230 per ensemble (2011)
