The 2010 Vocal Jazz Festival is a one day event at the Salvation Army Church in Burnaby on Tuesday, March 2nd.
Our Festival focuses on developing the talents of our young musicians and singers. Each ensemble has a 20 minute warm-up, 20 minute performance and 40 minute workshop with our outstanding team of adjudicators: Dave Cross, Rich Sumstad, Peter Taylor and Janet Warren.
The lunchtime concert features CAPITAL JAZZ. Capital Jazz vocal ensemble is directed by Rejean Marois and is one of the premiere ensembles in the Capilano University Jazz Studies program. It is comprised of vocal and rhythm section students enrolled in the program that are required to audition for the group. They perform many concerts every year and are pleased to be invited to the Kiwanis Vocal Jazz Festival this year
Registration Cost: $230 per ensemble
