Hugh Parsons

Following an active performing career as a jazz pianist, and then proceeding to earn a Bachelor of Music from the University of Toronto, Hugh returned to western Canada to pursue a career as both music educator and jazz performer. Hugh also holds a Masters degree in Jazz Education from the University of Victoria.

Upon his recent retirement as a secondary school music educator, he has found much more time to pursue alternative areas such as recording his original compositions, teaching jazz piano, occasional teaching for Simon Fraser University as well as continuing to perform extensively
